ZATCA Digital Invoice (Saudi Arabia)
E-invoicing (FATOORA) for businesses in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. We make your ERP, billing or POS software issue compliant electronic invoices and integrate it with the ZATCA platform.
What is ZATCA e-invoicing?
The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) requires VAT-registered businesses in Saudi Arabia to issue and keep invoices electronically. The rollout has two phases: generation, where invoices are created electronically in a compliant system, and integration, where your system connects to ZATCA's FATOORA platform.
In the integration phase, standard tax invoices (business to business) are cleared by ZATCA before they reach the buyer, and simplified invoices (business to consumer) are reported to ZATCA after they are issued. Businesses are brought into the integration phase in waves, and ZATCA notifies each business of its date.
What a compliant invoice needs
- The structured XML format (UBL 2.1) set by ZATCA
- A QR code on every invoice
- A unique identifier and invoice hash chain
- A cryptographic stamp from your onboarded device
- Secure storage of your invoices
